Is the only way to the Father through Jesus?

Jesus said unto him, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. (John 14:6)

Repent and trust the gospel (Mark 1:15)

A have a word that can be used to describe this sermon: heresy. This is nothing short of heresy. Saying that you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that you are a sinner, that he died on the cross to pay the price for your sins, and that he is resurrected from the dead is not a "work". That is the core belief of Christianity.

Why does she waste her time calling herself a Christian if she thinks it's optional, or a "nice to have". Why would Christ have bothered saying what he said in John 14:6 if he didn't mean it? (I imagine this preacher would make the case that he probably didn't say it; it was something one of the gospel writers added as an embellishment).

Liberal so-called Christians drive me absolutely crazy. They do more harm to Christianity in America than any atheist could ever dream of doing.

I could not even make it halfway through.

I would ask her, "Why then the cross?"

Why would God put His only begotten Son through all that, if everyone has access to Him anyway?

This absolutely sickens me. Without accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, and following Him for the rest of your days, you will NOT have eternal life and you will be dammed for an eternity.

1 John 5:9-13 NIV We accept man's testimony, but God's testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son. (10) Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. (11) And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (12) He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. (13) I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

I almost couldn’t decide which was worse…….what she was saying or the congregation boldly clapping at the end of the video.

John 17:3-4 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.

Romans 3:22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Acts 4:12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

Seems pretty clear to me.

I have a friend who is a Roman Catholic, and who told me about a great sermon that the priest gave where he pretty much said the same things.

She described how the priest got applause at the end of his homily.

She said it was really terrific and asked me what I thought of it.

I told her that I would have walked out in the middle of it.

I would have walked out in the middle of it too.....might even have said something very loudly as I was walking out.

Atta boy, Wayne!

I can assure you all that this is not a Roman Catholic teaching, and any priest who gives such a homily would also be a heretic.

I agree with Steve and Wayne. If I heard this would walk out in the middle of it too, but I wouldn't stop there. I would file a complaint with the Bishop, and if I didn't get a satisfactory response, I'd write a letter to the Bishop of Rome.

When the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church teaches this kind of heresy, there is no one to complain to. She is the top official in the Episcopal Church, and this video shows why that denomination is such a mess.

The religion of Oprah, Pope John Paul 11 (and I believe, Benedict xv1 as well), of the UN, of the URI, Global political leaders, and of many professing Evangelical pastors (you know who they are): the one world religion. Jesus will come clean house. Until then we work preaching and telling the Truth, while the tares grow alongside, because the Lord is still adding His sheep to His fold through the True Gospel, which is the power of God for salvation. This is the spiritual war, brothers.

Sorry I have not been available for comments over the last day...I have been down with another kidney stone.

Amen Loretta!

Let's keep the main thing the main thing, put on our spiritual armor and win the lost for Christ with the true Gospel.
