Nothing to compare to......

“I have suffered much bodily pain, but my sufferings are but as nothing compared with that which our blessed Redeemer endured upon the accursed cross, that all might be saved who put their trust in Him.”

These are different times aren't they? I mean, is this a country that would elect a zealous Christian? I don't think so. One could even argue (playing devil's advocate here) that a lot of what happened in those days happened without the full consent of the American public because the media conglomerate was in it's infantile stages, still growing into the behemoth that it is today. For instance, most Americans didn't know FDR was in a wheel chair. However, I do think that those same presidents would probably have been elected, but more people would have know that Andrew Jackson was a Christian.
