Walking Bibles

(Thomas Watson)

"Give me understanding, and I will keep Your law and obey it with all my heart." Psalm 119:34

Determine to PRACTICE whatever you read. Christians should be walking Bibles, living the truths written. The Word is not only a guide to knowledge, but a guide to obedience. A holy reading of God’s Word, results in our fleeing from sins, and practicing the duties commanded.

"I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey Your word." Psalm 119:101

Our "tracks" living weigh heavier than out "tracts" we hand out.

I try and make Christ's light shine in His Word, over and above anything I do.

Of course I do not run roughshod over my neighbor...but in my Christian freedom, I strive to help my neighbor whenever and however I can.

I realize that I don't often do a very good job of this, as my life quite often just revolves around the needs of my own immediate family and those of my myself.

But I have a Savior who has died for all of that self-centeredness and this is what I try to convey to anyone that will hear it. (the gospel)
