All that can possibly want!

(Octavius Winslow, "The Witness of the Spirit")

"From the fullness of His grace--we have allreceived one blessing after another." John 1:16

Child of God, all that can possibly want is treasured up in Christ!

You have . . .

no cross--but Christ can bear it,

no sorrow--but Christ can alleviate it,

no corruption--but Christ can subdue it,

no guilt--but Christ can remove it,

no sin--but Christ can pardon it,

no need--but Christ can supply it!

Lift up your heads, you who are poor, needy and disconsolate! Lift up your heads, and rejoice that Christ is ALL to you!

All you need in this valley of tears.

All you will need in the deepest sorrow.

All you need under the heaviest affliction.

All you need in sickness.

All you will need in the hour of death.

All you will need in the day of judgment.

Indeed, Christ is IN ALL too.

He is in all your salvation.

He is in all your mercies

He is in all your trials.

He is in all your consolations.

He is in all your afflictions.

What more can you want?

What more do you desire?

A Father who loves you as the apple of His eye!

A full Savior to whom to go, moment by moment!

"Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with confidence--so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Hebrews 4:16

I believe one can believe in any higher power and end up in the same place as a Christian.

I truly believe that all roads do, in fact, lead to God...whoever he is.

Anonymous,

Where did you get that notion from? Did you cook it up in your own head, or did you learn it from someone that cooked it up in their own head?

Just curious. I would really like to know why you think the idea that all roads lead to God is true.

Thanks.

Anonymous,

I agree with your statement ‘All roads lead to God.’

I don’t know if you will stop back by to read my reply but I’ll answer anyway……

Whether your beliefs are rooted in Buddhism, Islam, atheism, agnosticism, Pantheism, Hindu, Mormon, Jehovah’s Witness or the flying spaghetti monster, your road will lead to God.

The Bible says that there is a Day of Judgment for all people…..so, yes, one day all people will stand before God and give an account for their life.

The real question, as I have said before, will your road lead to forgiveness of sins and eternal life in the presence of God?

I believe that there are only two religions in the world; those religions that must work toward salvation and the one that doesn’t.

All religions are a ‘work’ based religion in which the follower must ‘do’ things to get their god’s approval and hopefully enter into paradise.

Christianity says that there is nothing you can do to merit salvation (forgiveness of sins) and thus are totally dependent on what God has done for you.

So how does one get forgiveness of sins and eternal life with God?

You may say, "What sins?" The Bible says in 1 John 3:4 that whoever transgresses the Law commits sin. So sinning is transgressing or breaking God’s Law.

Which Law? The Ten Commandments, God’s moral Law.

Have you broken God’s Law?

Let’s look at just three of the Commandments…The 9th Commandment is thou shall not lie. Ever told a lie? That makes you a liar. The 8th Commandment is thou shall not steal. Ever stolen something? That makes you a thief. The 3rd Commandment is thou shall not take the Lord’s Name in vain. Ever said something like, "Oh my G**?" Or used His name as a curse word? The Bible calls that blasphemy. The Bible says that God will not hold him guiltless who takes His Name in vain.

The Bible says that all liars will have their part in the lake of fire.

The Bible also says that no thieves will inherit the Kingdom of God.

That’s the bad news.

But there is good news!

Two thousand years ago, God sent His Son Jesus Christ to Earth. He lived a perfect sinless life. He died a horrible brutal death on the cross for the sins of the world; for your sins and my sins. They buried Him. But three days later, God raised Him from the dead so that you could have forgiveness of your sins and eternal life in Heaven.

It’s like this; you broke God’s Law, but Jesus paid your fine.

The question now becomes; how do you receive this forgiveness of sins? The Bible says you must repent of your sins and place your trust in Christ to save you from God’s wrath on judgment day. To repent is not just saying you’re sorry, but turning your back on sin as well. Trusting in Christ is like trusting a parachute. You don’t just believe in a parachute, you must put it on for it to save you.

Once you do this, you will pass from death to life and God’s wrath will pass-over you.

So, yes, anonymous, your road will lead you to God but you won’t like what you find when you get there. There is only one road that leads to forgiveness of sins and eternal life in Heaven and that is through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Please – repent today and put your trust in Him and follow Him all the days of your life.
